This seems to have solved itself. I just kept on trying and eventually it took.

Try booting to rescue mode and then starting the reinstall procedure or try different OS or contact support on their website - but that takes time.

So I'm trying to reinstall the OS. I make it to the confirm page, click on confirm, looks as though it's thinking (doing its thing), but then bounces me BACK to the confirm page, and in the lower right side, I see a small dialog box that reads, "internal call failed"

Steps to reproduce this

Select Ubuntu 14.04
Select custom install (because I do not like the partition plan OVH uses)

8 GB swap
/ Remaining free space

Check box to use the default kernel (not the one by OVH)

Confirm, followed by "internal call failed"
