Your server was concerned by task opened yesterday and now closed : http://status.ovh.net/?do=details&id=9519
Disk /dev/sda doesn't contain a valid partition table so there seems to have not data on it.
An incident is opened for your server, please only continue with it.

Regards,
Fabian
yes, they replaced the disc.
Maybe we'll buy the old disc. Is there any chance of recovering the data?

I have no choices on Dedicated server > Services page. OVH stuff did it for me in the morning, but there is no partition on sda disk
So, you have Rescue SSH access right now ?
The command
fdisk -l
didn't list your drive ?

As said before: with the web-test-rescue-mode, you can ALSO test your drive.

Also do the hard drive test.
Is it ok ?

If it is ok, then you /sda should exist

Found the setting in that switches from "Rescue Boot" to "hard disk boot" in the Manager ?
If RAM is ok, the server should boot as before.

Hi!

rebooted in HD mode, and the server did not respond. no ping. So I am back in rescue mode again.

Probably by reading the manual : http://help.ovh.com/RescueMode

But ... if your server is ok, why doing so ?
Visit your Manager - switch IN YOUR MANAGER to normal hard-disk boot - and reboot your server.
Note : Rebooting by executing (typing !) the command (in SSH) reboot is always better as hitting reboot in the Manager, which provokes a hard reset.

Hi,

Also do the hard drive test.
Then, visit here http://forum.kimsufi.com/forumdispla...administration and look, for Kimsufi support is changing. Post ALL the details. Do not forget to mention who you are - what server you have.

Btw: rebooting is fine, but before doing so, you should change the boot-mode in your Manager first.
With RAM errors, it seems logic to me that that isn't possible. The server would just die ... (because its broken).

When you are in the rescue mode, it is possible to 'mount' your hard drive, and retrieve your data.
