Look in some other very recent logs (in /var/log)
Maybe the cron jobs are logged in another file, like /var/log/syslog.

edit:

This file
/usr/local/rtm/etc/rtm-ip
exists ?
It contains a valid IP ?
Like 37.187.231.251 ?

Check if it's there : do you have a line like this
*/1 * * * * root /usr/local/rtm/bin/rtm 25 > /dev/null 2> /dev/null
*/1 * * * * root /usr/local/rtm/bin/rtm 7 > /dev/null 2> /dev/null

What do you see in the cron log /var/log/cron.log)
file is empty / not created

And, of course, what do you have here /usr/local/rtm ?
/usr/local/rtm# ls
bin etc scripts

You did something special with iptables - the firewall ? If yes, just remove what you did.
nope, fresh installed server

I think there is a problem with the cronjob?
I will try to delete the line from /etc/crontab and put it into "crontab -e"

Normally, no.

Check if it's there : do you have a line like this
*/1 * * * * root /usr/local/rtm/bin/rtm 25 > /dev/null 2> /dev/null

in /etc/crontab ?
(on my server, a Debian Wheezy, itb there)

What do you see in the cron log /var/log/cron.log)

And, of course, what do you have here /usr/local/rtm ?

You did something special with iptables - the firewall ? If yes, just remove what you did.

Hey,

I have installed a new server with Debian 8.1 but can't see any stats in the manager panel.
Do I have to install MRTG manually?

Thanks
