SMTP Server was exploited, now can't receive emails

So I'm new to smtp and installed it over the weekend on my windows server.

Now it's been accessed to send spam.. the tutorial I followed stupidly taught me to set up the authentication as "anonymous - no username or password".

I have now set an ip whitelist only on all authentication processes, however now my server isn't receiving any emails. I can send out but nothing comes back, I am also blacklisted on a few spam check sites now - I have applied to be delisted anyway.

Can anybody please tell me what's gone wrong?? I really need access to my emails again, desperately!
